Did you know that we have a boutique in Covent Garden, London? We opened our boutique across the pond in 2009, and our store manager Nav, has been with us ever since. She helped us put together a list of must-see sights in the bustling neighborhood around the boutique. We’ve put all of our favorite spots on a handy Google Map for you, which you can access here.
Best Sweet Spot
Laduree, 1 Claire Market
We swear our London staff visits Laduree at least once a week to satisfy their sugar cravings. Even better than the decadent macarons? People-watching from the roof terrace!
Best Way to be Active
Barclay’s Cycle Hire (multiple locations)
You can rent a bicycle at one of the five docking stations in Covent Garden, and set out to see the city from a whole new perspective. You can drop the hired bicycles off at any location throughout the city, allowing you to cover a lot of ground!
Best Cultural Pursuit
National Gallery, Trafalgar Square
National Portrait Gallery, St. Martin’s Place
There are so many ways to inject a little culture into your day in and around Covent Garden, but our two favorite spots are the National Gallery and National Portrait Gallery (not to be confused)! The National Portrait Gallery is open late every Thursday and Friday, making it a great after-work spot. They even serve drinks!
Best Cheap Date
On a nice night, grab a dish at any of the dozens of restaurants in the market square, then sit at a local pub and enjoy whatever free entertainment is happening in the Piazza. We love when the orchestra performs!
Located just a few tube stops away from Covent Garden, Camden Town could keep us busy for days. There is always free entertainment, plus lots of markets selling antiques and unique clothing.
Best Beauty Spot
Thai Square Spa, 25 Shelton Street
Not only does our London-based team love the treatments here, but our New York-based team does, too, making it a point to visit whenever they’re in town. One of their favorite treatments is the Traditional Thai Massage – not at all like the Swedish massages most of us are used to, this one is as if the therapist is putting your body into yoga poses and stretching you out. It might sound a little strange, but nothing leaves us feeling more open and refreshed.
Best Of-the-Moment Boutique
Opening Ceremony, 35 King Street
Opening Ceremony (their original outpost is in NYC) is a go-to boutique for avant-garde fashion inspiration. They stock designers like Kenzo, Christopher Kane, and even their own namesake label, and always have a super-cool selection of toys and art books that we love to browse.
Best Spiritual Sanctuary
Tri Yoga, WallaceSpace, 2 Dryden Street
Alchemy the Centre, Unit 101, Horse Stables Market, Chalk Farm Road
There are so many amazing yoga studios to visit here in London. We always make it a point to visit Tri Yoga when Satya’s friend Gurmukh guest-teaches here. Her kundalini classes leave us feeling relaxed and revitalized. Alchemy the Centre is our go-to studio for yoga and meditation, but we love when Snatam Kaur performs kirtan here.
