A Different Kind of Bridal Party

Brides-to-Be, this one’s for you! You have the dress, you booked the honeymoon, the centerpieces are chosen. But, you can’t forget about all of the lovely ladies who helped keep you smiling through the (tedious, stressful, overwhelming) wedding planning process!

We’re happy to announce that all of our New York City boutiques (locations here) are now hosting exclusive Bridal Events! Brides looking for meaningful gifts for their Maid of Honor, Bridesmaids, Mother, and future Mother-in-Law can invite all of their nearest and dearest to a Satya boutique for an exclusive shopping event. Sip on champagne and browse our gemstone and symbol collections to select a piece that speaks directly to your relationship with each person.

We’d suggest a gift in garnet for your Maid of Honor, since it’s an ancient symbol of friendship and truthfulness. Blue topaz, a symbol of wisdom, is perfect for Mom. The tree of life symbolizes the ways in which your bridesmaids always keep you grounded.

Our first Satya Bride, Lauren, just hosted her wedding ladies at our Bleecker Street boutique. Keep an eye out for her wedding on “Say Yes to the Dress” later this year! Here are some pictures from the event!

The bride, bridesmaids, and mother of the bride are all smiles at the end of the night!

Behind the Scenes Fall 2012: Pendants, Poses, & Precipitation

ImageHello! I’m Emily, a social media and marketing intern here at Satya Jewelry. This is my first internship, and I’m so happy to be experiencing it here in New York City!

After learning that I’d get the opportunity to attend a photo shoot during my internship, I couldn’t wait for it to arrive! This month, I got the chance to attend our fall campaign shoot at Bethesda Terrace in Central Park. It was my first time helping out behind the scenes, and I loved every minute of it! It was so interesting to see it all come together, from the location, to the styling, to the jewelry.

The forecast called for rain, but our positive thinking staved it off for a while, giving us a few hours of sunshine. We managed to get in quite a few shots before needing umbrellas. Neither the rain nor the many interested tourist groups crowding our space deterred anyone’s enthusiasm, and it was truly an amazing day overall. I can’t wait for my next photo shoot, and to see the final shots from this one!

Take a look behind the scenes with me:

Our model, Viktoria, looking beautiful in the Holiday collection. Did you know that Viktoria was Miss Georgia (the country, not the state)? (left); Bethesda Terrace’s interesting architecture made it the perfect location for the shoot. Both the terrace and fountain have been featured in numerous films and television shows, including The Producers, Angels in America, and even Gossip Girl (right)
The intricate wall and ceiling details inside the terrace were simply stunning. I couldn’t believe how well preserved everything was considering it’s outdoors!
The grand architecture of the terrace, built in 1864 (left); Viktoria and our fabulous photographer, David Jay, and graphic designer, Jackie (right).
Viktoria and the crew, umbrellas and all (left); The terrace was so incredible, I almost couldn’t believe we were right in Central Park!
