Last month, Satya and Rohini jetted to India to get a fresh dose of inspiration to infuse into their designs. They traveled through Rishikesh, Jaipur and Delhi, and celebrated Holi while they were there! Holi is the festival of colors that inspired our Spring collection. Add in a healthy dose of yoga and meditation and a visit to one of our favorite places, Ramana’s Garden, and the result was a most extraordinary trip.
Here are some highlights from Satya’s travel album:
Joining in a prayer to the River Ganga. The bright colors of everything from people’s dress to the surrounding buildings lit up the landscape.
Some of the beautiful children at Ramana’s Garden. You can learn more about the work Ramana’s Garden does to improve the lives of children here.
Satya, Rohini, and their friend Wah (daughter of Gurmukh, founder of Golden Bridge Yoga), encountered this four legged friend on their walk from the ashram.
Vibrant pink powder for playing Holi. During the festival, bright powders like this one are thrown through the air, filling the world with color and playfulness. Can you see why we were so drawn to fuchsia agate for our Spring collection?
Satya, covered in color, after playing Holi!
One of the beautifully painted elephants in Jaipur – they were celebrating Holi, too!
Surprisingly, the camel ride was only slightly less uncomfortable than a NYC taxi ride!
